Save The Date – 1st & 2nd 2016

The 2016 Club Championships will be held over the weekend of the 1st & 2nd October.  As last year the programme will be written with the intention of encouraging all club members to swim, with that we will once again hold events over 4 daytime sessions; two on the Saturday and two on the Sunday and have events specifically intended for our newer swimmers.

The Club Championships is a great first swim meet for new or inexperienced swimmers and the Committee hope every member will take the opportunity to participate.

Swimmers who wish to take part should come along to their normal Friday session 6 - 7pm, 7 - 8pm or 8 - 9pm. The first 30 minutes of the session will be used to swim the 50 lengths or as many as you can manage in the time. The remaining time will be normal training.

If you do not swim on a Friday night but wish to take part, please come along to the 8pm session.

Sponsor forms will be available from the club table or pinned to the club notice board.

We will require older swimmers to help count the lengths and offer some encouragement to our sponsored swimmers. If you can help please add your name to the list on the club notice board.

Should any medication you are taking change throughout the year, you need to send a new, updated form immediately. You can find it on the membership pages on the Scottish Swimming Website, under members > 'membership forms'. Send it back to the address shown on the form.

Reminder Re Gala Entry Fees

February 17, 2015

The club’s policy is that all fees for accepted and reserve swims (where a reserve swimmer is given a swim) are due within 7 days of the gala taking place. Payment should be by cheque or cash and placed in the club mail box in an envelope clearly labelled with the swimmer’s name and the name of the competition. In accordance with the Club Constitution, entries from swimmers for whom outstanding fees from previous meets have not been paid will NOT be accepted until the debt is cleared.

The Committee therefore recommends that all outstanding fees from past galas should be settled immediately.
