Training At Perth Leisure Pool

February 22, 2018

Some very important info for all mums, dads, carers and swimmers. Please note and share

1. Your Live Active card must be presented at reception every time you attend club sessions (this lets staff know how many people are checked-in in the event of an evacuation). You may be charged £3.65 Entry otherwise.

2. No loitering with your friends in cubicles, please. The changing village is a public area and everyone needs space to get changed

3. Only arrive downstairs 15 minutes before your session AND no sneaky swims in the other pool. Your training fees don’t cover use of the other pools, only your club sessions

4. If you have homework to do or want to wait on friends, feel free to wait upstairs at the viewing area.

5. A reminder to parents that club coaches can only supervise swimmers from the time they go onto poolside. At all other times and in all other areas of the building they remain in your care

Thank you for your co-operation.

2018 Premier League Information

January 10, 2018

After winning the First Division in 2017, Perth will take part in the Premier League this year. The dates, warm-up and (start times) of the meetings and host club are as follows:

10 February – PERTH 15:00 (15:30)

24 March – MONIFIETH (held at Arbroath) 17:30 (18:00)

2 June – KINROSS 15:00 (15:30)

8 September – DCA (at Olympia) 17:30 (18:00)

3 or 10 November [to be confirmed] – MENZIESHILL (at Olympia)

Please note the dates and try to keep free in case you are chosen! All of the club’s swimmers will be eligible to take part in the league. There is no guarantee a swimmer will be chosen to take part in the league, but we will try and involve as many as possible over the course of the 5 galas.

The selected team for each gala will be placed on the club noticeboard at least 2 weeks beforehand. Please tick your name to confirm you can take part. If you cannot take part, please mark with a cross as early as possible, so another swimmer can take your place.

Bus times for away galas will be confirmed closer to time. All swimmers should arrive in plenty of time for the bus / warm-up as relay and team lines have to be handed in.

The first gala is at home, and all swimmers should be at the pool and ready to swim well in advance of the 3.30pm warm-up.

Swimmers should bring the following to each gala:

£5 (please put in an envelope marked with the swimmer’s name and hand to the team manager before boarding the bus. This helps cover the cost of pool & equipment hire, league fees and bus hire. It is still payable if your swimmer does not travel on the team bus, though we strongly recommend that they do travel as a team.) This cost also applies to our home gala and fees should be given to the team manager at poolside.

Goggles & spares.

Club top/hoodie.

Club swim cap (please do not use alternative caps).

Water bottle.

Small, healthy snacks.

Towel.

£1 coin for locker. (50p for Perth and it may be 20p for Arbroath pool)

The events in Dundee and Arbroath should finish at around 8pm, so your swimmer may need a packed tea to eat on the way home.

The club will require officials to help at each gala, and volunteers can travel free on the team bus if seats are available.

If you have any questions about the league, please contact:

Reminder Re Gala Entry Fees

September 18, 2017

The club’s policy is that all fees for accepted and reserve swims (where a reserve swimmer is given a swim) are due within 7 days of the gala taking place. Payment should be by cheque or cash and placed in the club mail box in an envelope clearly labelled with the swimmer’s name and the name of the competition. In accordance with the Club Constitution, entries from swimmers for whom outstanding fees from previous meets have not been paid will NOT be accepted until the debt is cleared.

The Committee therefore recommends that all outstanding fees from past galas should be settled immediately.
